God does not respond to the spirit of rush. The world is always in a hurry – rushing
everywhere. Jesus took His time! He invites us to “follow” Him – to “ABIDE” in Him.
It is important to stay on the right and clear path. Jesus said in John 5:19, “I tell you the
truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing.
Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” It was said of Jesus in John 7:46 “Never
has anyone spoken like this man!”
God inhabits the praises of His people. What the church needs now is the Holy Spirit.
John the Baptist leapt in his mother’s womb in the presence of the unborn baby Jesus. He
grew and went on the prepare the way for the ministry of Jesus. When thrown into prison
he began to doubt, “Are you the One?” Jesus sent word to John saying, “The blind
receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the
dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.” (Matt. 11:5,6).
God’s people spent 40 years wondering in the wilderness because of the negative reports
of spies. God’s word says in 2 Chronicles 16:9: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and
fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose
heart is loyal to Him.”
This was proven in the life of David. God asked 2 things of His people: the morning
(9AM) and the evening (3PM) sacrifice. This is when Goliath came out to defy the living
God. David declared, “Is there not a cause?!” David came against the giant in the
name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel. That day
the LORD delivered the giant into the hands of David.
Daniel 11:32 says, “The people who do know their God will do great exploits.” We have
to have a “mind to work” and believe and be of one mind in the unity of the faith.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm
133:1)
In Mark 2:1 tells us the story of the man who needed his friends to help him reach
Jesus for healing miracles. It inspires us to get a hold of Jesus! Jesus was in the room.
He preached the word! He was looking at the faith of those who lowered the man
through the roof – the faith that produced the miracle.
IT’S TIME FOR THE CHURCH TO RISE UP AND BUILD!
