A SEASON OF JOYFUL MOMENTUM

We need a revival – not just doing “spiritual” things. Only Jesus satisfies.  When we surrender to the Holy Spirit, He keeps us moving.  So, let us be completely surrendered to Jesus.  “Help us, Lord, to live passionately for you!”

Jesus will never disappoint or leave us! I have known Jesus for forty-three years and I find it hard to believe that Jesus would ever “pass me by” (like the hymn says.) He promised never to leave me nor forsake me! (Deut. 31:6; Hebrews 13:5) After the death of Jesus, when Peter and disheartened disciples went fishing, the RESURRECTED JESUS went fishing with them! (John 21:3ff) And on the Emmaus Road He opened the scriptures to two downcast disciples causing their hearts to be warmed! (Luke 24). We need to “get apart” before we “come apart” from lack of faith.  Pursue Him!

Many are not walking the walk with God because of doubt and confusion.  It is easy to get a “religious spirit.”  There is a walk to be walked and a talk to be talked!

At the center of Momentum is the Cross!  Jesus said, “Apart from Me, you can do nothing!”  (John 15:5) We cannot bear fruit without Jesus.  The truth is – WE CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT JESUS! I go back to the reality that JESUS IS ALIVE!  It is not a religion!! He cares for me! He cares for you!

We need to get down to business with God. On Wednesday nights in January, we will be teaching on prayer and healing. GOD HEALS! It is as simple as that! Jesus had compassion on people, but He also said, “You will know the truth and the truth will make you free!” (John 8:32) We need to know the WORD!

What can we do to stir up this community?  We need to use every opportunity to spread the Gospel! We need to ask the Holy Spirit to stir us up! When we come together in corporate worship …We need to encourage one another. We should have an effect on each other.

We (Hope Centre Family Church) should be so strong spiritually that we will never be weak!  YOU, individually, matter in the Church of Jesus Christ. Every gift matters! The whole Body of Christ matters! We need to give back to God what He has placed within us!  We need to think biblically – not selfishly, how we can maintain unity!

OUR MOMENtUM IS IGNITED BY VISION that comes by hope and faith – flowing together in a vision.  The word tells us that “without a vision people go into captivity” (Isaiah 5:13
