Highlights from Pastor Jerry’s message on Dec 15

Christmas is a promise from the GREAT I AM about the manifestation of JESUS – the I AM!

“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14).

Christmas is a glimpse of something greater. Jesus was born so we could be “born again,” back in fellowship with God the GREAT I AM!

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end…” (Isaiah 9:6,7)

I am so glad that I have the GREAT I AM!

At the age of 38 I met Jesus.  I had a desire to serve Him with all of my heart.  God answered my prayer with the Word: “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that need not be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).

In order to fully understand the total truth about Christmas we need to go back to Genesis…

When Adam and Eve fell it appeared that Lucifer had won; but he is a defeated foe by the great I AM! In the Garden of Eden God walked with Adam and Eve.  When they sin, they hid because they were naked.  We are naked unless we have the aura of God covering us.

In Genesis 3:15 God tells us that there would come a day when the enemy would be defeated forever.  The SEED would come.

As time goes by the people of God mess up and get corrected time and time again.  Just as God spoke to Moses to tell Pharoah, “Let My people go!” we are to speak deliverance to others by the power of the Spirit of the Great I AM!

The Roman Empire was supposed to last forever. That is when the Great I AM came!  The I AM comes and people flock to Him.  Jesus said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father!” (John 14:8)

We are possessed by Someone greater than ourselves. God wants us to see Him as whatever we need… as Jesus revealed in the seven I AM’s of the Gospel of John:

·       I AM the bread of life (6:35),

·       I AM the light of the world (8:12),

·       I AM the door (10:7),

·       I AM the good shepherd (10:11, 14),

·       I AM the resurrection and the life (11:25),

·       I AM  the way the truth and the life (14:6)

·       I AM the true vine (15:1).

Jesus said in John 8:58, “Before Abraham was I AM…”

The I AM built this building for us to answer the call of God! Jesus ties all facets of His Person  and ministry to His  own unchanging timelessness. Jesus is the GREAT I AM, “THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER!“ (Hebrews 13:8)
