GROWTH THROUGH GIVING

Highlights from a message by Pastor Richard on GIVING

We need to give of ourselves in all areas of our lives to make God’s plan work. We need to have prayer for growth.  In order to have growth we need to have faith, and we need to be givers of our time to do all the physical things that need to be done in the church. But, we need to be givers of the tithes..

   Malachi 3:10 - “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

   2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Let each man do according as he hath purposed in his heart: not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loves a cheerful giver.”

Joshua 1:7-8 – “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may [b]prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you[c] shall meditate in it day and gives you giftings. 

   As we bring in the tithe God builds up the night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” 

We will prosper when we give ourselves to God. To be successful – follow His word. When we do God is there with us no matter what we do.  When tithing was explained to me I started doing it.  You prosper in many ways when you give it to God. (I.e. – Your grandson gets a job, you sell a trailer you no longer need, a family property grows from 40 acres to 60 acres; He gives you ideas (vision of future church building); He

Gives you giftings.

As we bring in the tithe God builds up His Church!
